The meaning of our name
The name OKENext expresses the idea that a system is not finished once it is accepted; the next step begins. OKE stands for the moment a job works and is accepted, Next for the step that follows. We treat software not as a first release alone but together with the maintenance, improvement and growth that come after it.
The name also nods to the software world: in HTTP, 200 OK signals a successful response, and next() passes control to the following step in a chain. Our work connecting systems is about building those transitions reliably. Our way of working follows the same rhythm: scope is agreed, a first release goes live, and the next phase is planned.
Our experience
We work with more than six years of end-to-end software development experience. In that time we have built backend services, web and mobile applications and real-time systems in health technology (healthtech), financial technology and artificial intelligence.
The engineering habits we carry from those projects (traceability, testability, authorisation and data separation) are part of our method in every engagement.
We build our own product too: LiftOfis
LiftOfis, the multi-tenant SaaS product we built for elevator maintenance companies, is live. It brings survey and quotation, maintenance planning, technician job closure with evidence in the field, periodic inspection tracking and an invoice-ready job list into a single flow.
The topics we advise on in client projects (subscriptions, authorisation, offline mobile work and data migration) are the ones we deal with in our own product. See our LiftOfis page for details.
How we work
We clarify the problem and goal first, put priorities and acceptance criteria in writing, and deliver in short, reviewable steps. As a project grows, we extend the team with the expertise it needs (design, mobile, data, testing).
The first conversation is free of charge. Pricing follows a written quote once the scope is clear, based on the size and conditions of the work.
