Short answer

SaaS architecture and technical consulting assesses a growing product's tenant isolation, scaling, cost and subscription flows with code and measurements. The deliverable is a prioritised plan showing the expected contribution and migration risk of each improvement.

Identify the actual bottleneck

Measure database access, background jobs, customer-specific load and resource cost. Total cloud spend alone does not show which workflow or tenant creates pressure.

Protect tenant boundaries

Review tenant identity propagation across queries, files and jobs. Shared and separated data models involve different operational, cost and isolation tradeoffs.

Align billing with entitlement

Subscription state, access rights and payment events must remain consistent. Duplicate and out-of-order events need tests and explicit state transitions.

Actionable outputs

Receive evidence, prioritised improvements and a staged implementation plan. Each architectural change should explain its expected benefit and migration risk. More services are not inherently a scaling solution.

When consulting is not the right fit

If the product has not been validated yet and has no users, architectural optimisation may be premature; product validation comes first. If the problem comes from the product or sales rather than architecture, technical consulting is not the solution.

How we work

We clarify at what scale and under which customer behaviour the problem appears. Code you authorise, measurements and error logs are reviewed; slow queries, background jobs and per-customer load are separated. Findings are turned into a phased implementation plan with priority, impact and migration risk.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we often get about SaaS architecture and technical consulting.

Should I keep customer data in separate databases?

Both approaches have trade-offs. A separate database gives strong isolation but adds operational and cost overhead; a shared schema is cheaper but depends on applying the tenant identifier correctly in every query. We decide based on your customer profile and legal requirements. Our own product, LiftOfis, is also built on a multi-tenant architecture.

How do you find the cause of rising costs?

We measure per-customer usage, slow queries, background jobs and infrastructure line items to split cost by customer and feature. Simply scaling up infrastructure is often not the answer.

Do you also review subscription and payment events?

Yes. We test that repeated or out-of-order payment events, failed charges and plan changes update subscription status consistently.

Do you do a code review or a live-system review?

Either can be in scope. We start from the code you authorise, plus measurements and error logs; any change in production is planned separately.
